  • Jessica Pratt [USA]
    Nika Mo, New Nausea

    The Naval Store

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Seated

With her bewitching voice and acoustic guitar, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Jessica Pratt summons mystical music that seems to hover between a dream and waking state, evoking both the shadows and the sunshine of her adopted home. Riding high on the acclaim of her latest record, the hypnagogic masterpiece ‘Here in the Pitch’, the psych-folk star returns to Australia for the first time in 10 years, including a Western Australian exclusive performance for ARRIVAL.

Emerging on the West Coast freak folk scene, Pratt came to attention with her 2012 self-titled debut, which drew comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell and Sibylle Baier. Audiences and critics alike were captivated by her sublime songwriting, reverb-heavy vocals and intimate 70s sound, which expanded musically on 2015’s ‘On Your Own Love Again’ and 2019’s Quiet Signs. Inspired by the micro 60s pop of the Walker Brothers, the Beach Boys’s Pet Sounds and the shadowy mythology of California, Pratt’s fourth album ‘Here in the Pitch’ marked a stylistic shift, adding percussive elements, chamber pop instruments and a spooky, otherworldly atmosphere to her mellow folk compositions. The result was one of the year’s most acclaimed records, praised by Pitchfork as music “honed to its finest point”. With her success, Pratt has found fans in unlikely places: she was sampled by Troye Sivan on his 2023 smash ‘Something to Give Each Other’, and collaborated with superstar rapper A$AP Rocky on his 2024 single, ‘HIJACK’.

  • BKTHERULA [USA]
    Mali Jo$e, Forum

    The Naval Store

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Standing

BKTHERULA blends chaotic soundscapes, ethereal melodies, and unapologetic flows to create a futuristic rap psychedelia. Inspired by her musical upbringing—her father was a rapper who opened for A Tribe Called Quest—Bk began recording at nine and uploading tracks to SoundCloud by 13. Viral hits like ‘Faygo’ and ‘Left Right’, as well as collaborations with Denzel Curry & Rico Nasty, propelled her to a Warner Records deal and her own festival. With over 236 million streams, she’s cemented herself as Atlanta’s next breakout star.

She has oscillated between cloud rap and R&B, crafting emotionally charged anthems. Her latest EP, LVL5, PT 2, continues to push the boundaries, reflecting her artistic and personal growth.

Do not miss this rare opportunity to see Bk for her debut performance in Boorloo/Perth at The Naval Store.

  • DIIV [USA]
    Gia Como

    The Naval Store

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Standing

Though DIIV helped to foster a shoegaze scene that has since swept up many imaginations, they rose above it despite nearly falling apart. 2024’s ‘Frog In Boiling Water’ is a gorgeous and haunted record, as the band gaze into our collective oblivion and try to articulate a trace of hope inside.

The LA four piece bring their signature fusion of dream pop, shoegaze, post-punk and diaphanous drapery to The Naval Store for ARRIVAL.

  • Wilson Tanner [MEL]
    Lia T, Montana

    PS Art Space

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Standing/Seated

Laidback, sparse and escalating, the collaboration of Andras and Eleventeen Eston aka Wilson Tanner takes ambient music outside and leaves it to the elements. Known for navigating individual courses as solo musicians, Wilson Tanner’s collective storytelling is saturated in detail, buoying between tension and harmony.

Through an agricultural haze an image of a working vineyard emerges – ducks, dogs and plovers intrude; tractors and quads fly-by; stainless steel gleams at the edges. Recording mostly without mains power, Wilson Tanner press their surroundings into something raw and unfiltered, letting bum notes, leftovers and sediment linger in the bottle. Legends’, their 3rd album, is a wine-soaked agricultural fantasy, made among the grapevines at Manon Farm in South Australia and is released on Efficient Space Records.

Join them at PS Art Space for an evening of sonic pleasantries.

  • Blind Girls [BNE]
    Puke, Hysteria, No Future

    PS Art Space

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Standing

Blind Girls’ tempestuous performances, blistering and technical screamo have earned them a dedicated following in their home country, further expanded by tours in Japan, Canada and the United States. They have a distinct way of making entire works sound like a single composition, both live and on record, championing the punk tradition of playing with as few breaks as possible, if any. As listeners are pulled through their new record An Exit Exists, it’s clear that they have once again overseen Blind Girls achieving new heights of sonic extremity, now stitched together by passages of deeply emotional musicality.

Join them at PS Art Space for a high energy mid-week punk floor show.

  • CLUBBMEDD
    R. Glacken, Cash Promise

    Buffalo Club

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Standing

Ascend the stairs, lose yourself within the smokey dance floor, indulge in the senses and embrace a cacophony of sounds from some of Boorloo’s finest esteemed and emerging selectors. ClubbMedd holds a dear place in the hearts of many within the dance community and ARRIVAL is absolutely thrilled to join forces with them for this mid-winter party.

Door sales only. Strictly limited capacity.

  • Mount Kimbie (DJ Set) [UK]
    Mira Nala

    The Naval Store

    Licensed Venue, 18+
    Wheelchair Accessible
    Standing

Mount Kimbie just keep evolving; they can’t do anything else. The UK duo, Dom and Kai, started out as young stars of the London electronic underground, turning the breakout success of a pair of EPs into a lasting album statement, 2010’s Crooks & Lovers. Next came the critically acclaimed dancefloor driven sophomore album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, followed by 2017’s celebrated Love What Survives, which explored krautrock and post-punk influences while featuring long-time collaborators James Blake, Mica Levi, and King Krule, as well as 2024’s acclaimed The Sunset Violent which blends modern indie, shoegaze, and electronica into their most ambitious and forward-thinking work yet.

Mount Kimbie close the inaugural ARRIVAL festival with a special DJ Set at The Naval Store drawing from diverse electronic influences that shape their productions, channelling them into a tougher, club-driven sound. Not to be missed.
